Is it too late to say, “Happy New Year”?

Rather than grapple with that question, the Sensible team has deployed several new and improved features to extract data from your documents, including a powerful new way to ask a simple question about the data in a document and get back an NLP-powered answer, enhancements to the GPT-3 powered summarizer method, the ability to combine multiple document extractions into a single excel file, support for TIFF extraction, and more.

For the full list of changes, check out our changelog.

Your documents have the answers to your questions

You can now ask a question like "What's the comprehensive premium?" and get the answer using NLP without needing to know anything about the document's layout. The Question method is straightforward and a great way to jumpstart using SenseML. Learn more.

Example question: What's the comprehensive premium?

Even GPT-3 needs instructions sometimes

We’ve enhanced our GPT-3 powered Summarizer method to support both array responses, for pulling lists of entities out of free text, and a free form instructions parameter, to replace or complement the call-and-response samples parameter.

Merge multiple document extractions into a single Excel file

Compile data from multiple documents into a single, organized spreadsheet with Sensible’s Get Excel endpoint. Your time is too valuable to spend it manually copying and pasting information into a spreadsheet.

Extract from TIFF files

Extract data from PDFs, JPEGs, PNGs, and now TIFFs. Sensible uses OCR to extract data from TIFF images of documents. As we continue to expand our support of other file types, reach out to Sensible support if there’s a format we need to prioritize.

These are just a few highlights of the many improvements we’ve recently made. As always, our changelog has the detailed updates. With the new NLP-powered Question method, the ability to merge multiple document extractions into a single Excel file, and support for TIFF extraction, you'll have more time to focus on the important things this year.
